Executive Director

Lisa Garner

Lisa’s journey with our organization began in 1998 when she joined as Office Manager. Her dedication and leadership quickly became apparent, leading her to take on the role of Administrative Assistant in 2000, succeeding her grandmother, Betty Nix, who retired. During this time, Lisa assumed responsibility for overseeing all “Fair”-related operations.

In 2005, Lisa’s exceptional contributions led to her promotion to Chief Operating Officer. In this capacity, she spearheaded efforts to introduce new events to Texarkana, significantly enhancing our community offerings. Recognizing her outstanding leadership and vision, Lisa was appointed Executive Director in 2021. In her current role, she oversees the day-to-day management of our facilities and continues to innovate by bringing new and exciting events to our region.

When not immersed in fair activities, Lisa cherishes moments with her husband Paul, and their four children. Their family bond extends to their two grandchildren, four nephews,  two nieces, who bring added joy and fulfillment to Lisa’s life outside of work.

Lisa is not only dedicated to the success of the Four States Fair venues but also actively collaborates with community non-profits to further elevate Texarkana’s cultural and social landscape. Her strategic initiatives and commitment to excellence make her a driving force behind our organization’s continued growth and success.
